The Sam Appleby Jr. Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7628 in Ozark will celebrate its 40th year in Ozark with a Fish Fry from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on August 15th at our VFW Hall, 104 S. 1st Street in downtown Ozark. The event is open to the public. We hope members of the community will join us for all-you-can-eat fish and sides, cake, and fellowship. 

Brigadier General Bradley Leonard, Deputy Commanding General of Fort Leonard Wood will be our distinguished guest speaker. Members of local government will also be in attendance. In addition to celebrating our Ruby Anniversary, special recognition will be made to honor five members of the Post who were charter members when the Post was established in 1985. Post 7628 actively supports veterans and their families in Christian and Stone Counties, providing hundreds of hours of volunteer service and thousands of dollars every year. 

The Post welcomes you to join our celebration.  Come meet some local veterans and share a delicious meal. The fish fry is $15 per person. Children under six eat for free.
