Established in 1992 by Bret Chandler, a Tulsa, Oklahoma, native, the first Rib Crib was an abandoned house that was decorated with hardwood floors and oilfiled memorabilia. The concept has since expanded to locations in Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, Iowa, and Arkansas. Each restaurant has a unique ambience from ''whimsical'' western to ''contemporary'' western decor.
