Ozark Chamber Legislative Affairs Committee Meeting - You're Invited!
The Ozark Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs Committee invites you to take part and get involved:
- Do you care about your community and want to help make a difference?
- Do you want to find out more about what's happening with our local leadership and upcoming ballot initiatives?
- Would you like to help educate our business and residential community on current local affairs in Ozark?
- Do you appreciate and exercise your right to vote?
The Legislative Affairs Committee is the place for YOU! Join us every 1st Monday of the month to discuss upcoming projects and be part of the team. This committee is responsible for coordinating the program details and planning of the candidate and ballot initiatives preview for the local Christian County 2016 Election.
For the Presidential Race, please note that you must be registered to vote by February 17 to be eligible to VOTE for your Presidential Candidate in the Missouri Primary March 15, 2016.

RIbbon Cutting for Open Arms Fellowship & Childcare Center in Ozark
Please join us as we welcome Open Arms Fellowship and Childcare Center to the Ozark Chamber of Commerce! A vital resource for working families is a reliable, safe, and loving environment for their children. Pastor Dave Benson has created a new opportunity for young families in Ozark to succeed while knowing their children are well cared for. Come join the fun and celebrate this new business and the growth for Ozark with Pastor Dave and his staff. Refreshments will be served.

pen Arms Fellowship is a forming LCMS congregation in Ozark, Missouri.
Pastor Dave Benson has been called, through Faith Lutheran Church in Springfield, in cooperation with the LCMS- Missouri District, to continue the development of this new church plant that was initiated through Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield.
The vision of Open Arms Fellowship is to gather a congregation of families and individuals in the Ozark, MO area around God’s Word and Sacraments for the purposes of salvation, worship, spiritual growth, fellowship, outreach, and service to the community in the name of Christ. This will primarily be accomplished through the founding and operating of a Early Childhood Development Center that will also serve as home for the congregation.
Pastor Benson and his wife, Jan, who live in Ozark, are in the process of assimilating into the community, meeting with potential members and launch team participants, holding monthly Sunday evening gatherings."

Ground Breaking for Ozark Junior High School
You're Invited! The Ozark School District will host a groundbreaking ceremony at the Ozark Junior High School on Thursday, February 4 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the new additions under-way at the elementary schools and the addition/remodel beginning this month at the Ozark Junior High School.
Construction is scheduled to be completed during the summer of 2016 at the Ozark elementary schools and during the summer of 2017 at the Ozark Junior High School. Multiple grade level shifts at Ozark School District are taking place in order to alleviate the increasing student population at Ozark High School.
- Fifth grade students will move down to the elementary schools beginning the 2016-2017 school year
- Seventh grade students will move down to Ozark Middle School beginning the 2016-2017 school year
- Ninth grade students will move down to the Ozark Junior High School beginning the 2017-2018 school year

February's First Friday Coffee Hosted by Walmart
Coffee-time and chamber-talk- Wake up for some fun and come share a 'cup of joe' hosted by our friends at Walmart. This event is an ideal opportunity for you to meet and mingle with fellow Chamber members before business hours.
Find out the latest on the upcoming Community Awards Banquet and which are proud to have Walmart as Presenting Sponsor once again this year for 2016 February 27. They also have great opportunities for the community through their various scholarshiop and grant programs.
They will have some tasty treats and you can take part in some Ozark Chamber camaraderie and then shop for your special person for the upcoming holiday or just treat yourself to something new.

2016 Ozark Community Awards Banquet
Join us for the Hats Off Celebration to honor our outstanding community members and businesses of 2015! This annual event is hosted by The Ozark Chamber of Commerce and The Finley River Community Foundation.
